About

Hi, I’m Tereza — the hands and heart behind Tera Vida.

I’m originally from the Czech Republic, and for the past three years I’ve been living in Switzerland. Moving to a new country taught me a lot about starting over, building a home feeling from small things, and finding comfort in everyday rituals. That’s a big part of why Tera Vida exists.

By day, I work as a nurse — a job that is meaningful, intense, and deeply human. It’s also a job that reminds me how important calm and care are, even in the smallest moments. And when I’m not at work, I step into my creative world: choosing fabrics, cutting patterns, sewing, pouring wax, and packing orders slowly and thoughtfully.

Tera Vida is my small handmade studio where I create sewn accessories — pouches, scrunchies, bags, card holders — and also olive & beeswax candles with wooden wicks. Everything is made by me in small batches. I don’t mass-produce, because what I love most is the process itself: the quiet focus, the small details, the feeling of making something that will become part of someone’s everyday life.

My style is simple, cozy, and practical — pieces you can use again and again, that feel nice in your hands and bring a little warmth to your day. For the candles, I’m drawn to scents that feel refined and comforting, like a soft atmosphere rather than something overpowering. The wooden wick adds a gentle crackling sound, and for me it’s like creating a tiny moment of peace in the middle of life.

Tera Vida is also my way of staying connected to creativity while living abroad — a little bridge between where I come from and the life I’m building here. Every order truly means a lot to me, not only as support for a small business, but as a connection. When you choose something handmade, you choose a story, time, and care.

Thank you for being here and for supporting slow, personal creation. I hope that when you receive your piece, you feel a little of the calm and love that went into making it.
